19th International Exhibition of Video and Cinema Beyond

Organized since 1990 by A.I.A.C.E. in Milan, INVIDEO has established itself as the most important Italian event in the field of experimental and art video. INVIDEO is a special project of Lombardy Region supported by Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali, Milan's Province, Milan's Municipality and EUNIC. Its main activities are:
- Organization of one-week exhibition at the prestigious Spazio Oberdan in Milan (Italy), where visitors can find the best selection of international and Italian experimental production in film and video;
- the setting up of a public video library, the largest in Italy to date, with more than 800 works, thanks to the acquisition year after year of the most meaningful experimental and art videos;
- promotion of the video artists, thanks to worldwide liaison with festivals and institutions.
Regulations
INVIDEO next edition will take place at Spazio Oberdan in Milan (Italy), Viale Vittorio Veneto 2, from 11th to 15th November 2009.
1. Entry requirements:
- no registration fee required;
- exhibition concerns every genre (video art, experimental documentaries, found footage, video dance, music video, theatre video, experimental animation, etc…) but fictional works, produced in the last 3 years (2007-2009);
- no length limit;
- screening formats: 35mm, 16mm, DigiBeta Pal or Beta SP Pal (16/9 non-anamorphic or 4/3) and Minidv. Selected films will be requested in the screening format specified on their entry form;
- it’s possible to submit more than 1 work;
- every work must be accompanied by its fully completed call for competition entry form (anticipated by e-mail) and by the following documentation: synopsis, technical fact sheet, videomaker's bio-filmography/c.v. (with date and place of birth), CD with images of the video in jpg format/300 dpi;
- works previously rejected won’t be considered;
- preview copies won't be sent back;
- DVD preview copies, entries and materials must get to our office by June 25 th 2009 ;
- preview copies must be sent without charge for INVIDEO; therefore, if you ship by mail specify "no commercial value - for cultural purposes"; by EMS (DHL, Federal Express, UPS...) declared custom value must be less than 5 € or US$ 5 to:
