La edición de este año del New York Film Festival que da comeinzo a finales de este mes contendrá la undécima edición de su sección Views from the Avant Garde.
Esta sección paraalela del festival, dedicada a "las fornteras de la posibilidad cinemática" se celebrará en el Walter Reade Theater el fin de semana del 5 y 6 de Octubre. El programa presentará las últimas obras decineastas como Peter Hutton, Helga Fanderl, Ernie Gehr, Robert Beavers y un homenaje especial al recientemente fallecido Mark LaPore.
