Our concluding program for the inaugural season of In Process highlights artistic collaboration through audiovisual works by (((arc))) & Sophia Wang and Paul DeMarinis (San Francisco Bay Area), and Aura Satz (London). The original experiential performances share an attention to light, language, and the materiality of analog technologies. We appreciate their willingness to let us reflect on their spirit in the virtual realm. Prior programs included artist films/video of public performances from the 1970s. The contemporary pieces, represented through documentation and filmic elements, are made in connection to pioneering women artists who came to the fore in that era: Theresa Hak Kyung Cha, Laetitia Sonami, and Lis Rhodes.

In Process is co-organized by Diego Villalobos and Tanya Zimbardo. The online project highlights performance-based and site-oriented work from different eras. Our inaugural season featured free streaming programs of works by Lawrence Andrews, (((arc))) & Sophia Wang, Laura Belém, Paul DeMarinis, Margaret Fisher, Paul Kos, Chantal Peñalosa, Jon Sasaki, Aura Satz, Bonnie Ora Sherk, Jill Scott, Scott Stark, and Peter Wiehl. The next online series will be announced in February 2021.
