LaborBerlin is happy to invite you all on the 19th and 20th of April to Martin Moolhuijsen’s presentation at S.P.A.C.E. in Wiesenstraße 29, the residency space that LaborBerlin is running in the context of the SPECTRAL project.

Martin Moolhuijsen will present Forms of Motion, an installation combining computer-controlled slide projectors, 16mm projectors, and a four-channel generative sound installation. Following a geometrical metaphor for film editing, he will present his hand-painted frames as points (slides), lines (filmstrips), and planes (multiple filmstrips) which will be animated through different colored lights. Sound will have the role of exploring the third dimension, filling the space left empty by light.

In addition to the project developed for S.P.A.C.E. Martin will also exhibit is entire collection of nearly ten thousand hand-painted frames and a two channel generative video installation of his real-time editing algorithm: a software that shuffles semi-randomly all of his hand-painted frames.

April 19 & 20 - 18:00 – 22:00
