Before the hegemony of the image, succumb or doubt them. We choose the latter. Question what it represents and search beyond its surface. We believe in the multiple possibilities of interpretation of moving images and the power that their appropriation has to demonstrate it. Coating, manipulating or reusing have been frequent concepts in each of our previous editions. And this year, due to the health context, we add another that defines us fully: mutate. We take the virtual space to deliver, with the same care and affection as always, our fourth edition. This online edition of MUTA presents training activities that prioritize research and creation based on the use of archives and new technologies; and programs made up of a cinema made by hand, intimate and individual in its elaboration, cinema without a camera against the current of conventional production models. Films from various parts of the world, recently made, whose theme revolves around social denunciation, material experimentation and the possible allegories that it gives off, the current pandemic and confinement, criticism of the status quo, aesthetic enjoyment and multiple reflections around the moving image and cinema as an illusion mechanism.

With Janie Geiser, Jacques Perconte, Colectivo Los Ingrávidos, Pere Ginard, Moira Lacowicz, Elena Duque, Guli Silberstein, Melisa Liebenthal, Azucena Losana, Stephen Broomer, and Luciana Merino, among others.
