For our April 2024 screening we are inviting experimental documentary submissions on the theme of CUTTING EDGE.

Cutting Edge can describe technological advance or artistic achievements that differ from what has come before. What does cutting edge mean to you? Brand new innovations technology or invention? The  sharp edge of fashion or the sharp blades of tools? Short Circuit show thought-provoking short films that have their roots in documentary. Now well established our themed screenings in Brighton invite emerging, established and award winning artists and filmmakers to share their often unconventional approaches to themes and documentary storytelling.   • Short Circuit

    SHORT CIRCUIT is a new film night screening short experimental documentaries selected from an open call. Short Circuit shows films with an unconventional approach, works that are distinctly artist film, yet have their roots in fact or documentary.

    The screenings will be on the last Thursday of the month at Presuming Ed, Brighton.
