Bloomsday Film Festival 2022 will feature OVERLAP, a new experimental short by Irish filmmaker Arran Tenzin Bradstock. OVERLAP showcases Arran’s approach to non-narrative filmmaking that gives equal importance to sounds and images. In this immersive experimental film, a quiet street at night and a droning sonic collage are put under the spotlight, opening the doors to a meditative contemplation on the audiovisual experience.

Arran is a filmmaker and musician from Cork, Ireland, studying for a PhD in Music at UCC. He has had work screened at other festivals such as Fastnet Film Festival, Kerry Film Festival, and Luminous Void Experimental Film Festival. Most recently, IndieCork Film Festival 2021 included a Special Programme which focused exclusively on Arran’s work, featuring 4 of his films.

OVERLAP will screen as part of the festival’s ‘Experimental Shorts Programme 2’ on June 14th at 3.30pm in the James Jouce Centre, Dublin. It will then be available to view online from June 16th-23rd on the Bloomsday Film Festival’s website. For the full programme and to book tickets, visit bloomsdayfestival.ie/filmfestival.
