  • ACRE TV: JumbleTron

    JumbleTron is a two-part video show crafted for public, large-scale screens in Pensacola, Florida (as a part of the CUBED: Luminous Festival, November 8-11), that features a roster of some of the most dynamic artists that ACRE TV has been itching to collaborate with since our last big group show in December 2016. JumbleTron will also broadcast online at ACRETV.org from November 8th to December 31st.

    “Ways of Something” is a contemporary remake of John Berger’s BBC documentary, “Ways of Seeing” (1972). The project consists of one-minute videos by over 114 network-based artists who commonly work with 3D rendering, gifs, film remix, webcam performances, and websites to describe the cacophonous conditions of artmaking after the internet.

  • Contribution to Light. The Early Works of Barbara Hammer

    The first monographic exhibition of KOW in Madrid shows previously unknown, early works by the American artist, filmmaker and feminist Barbara Hammer. Between 1968 and 1971, the first experimental films, photographs and works on paper were created, which chart the path of this pioneer of queer cinema.

    Qubit is pleased to present Binocular Rivalry, an immersive light and moving-image installation by Bernhard Fasenfest. Binocular Rivalry fills the sprawling 6000 square feet of Project-Q’s exhibition space with luminous grids of cascading light, tactile environments, textural fabric projections, and other works that explore the multimodal capacity of expanded cinema.
