This short film program, linked to Antoni Pinent's "Esculpir la luz" workshop, presents a set of "cameraless" works made during the first decades of the 21st century (2003-2021)

At a time when analog technology is plummeting towards obsolescence and the transition from film to digital format, many artists and filmmakers continue to explore the possibilities of direct manipulation of the film material itself, applying both traditional techniques and exploring other procedures that also take into account digital devices, sometimes creating hybrid works. Working on the surface of the film - scratching, painting, altering the photochemical emulsion - or applying various methods such as, for example, contact copying, laser printing, rayogram and photographic collage, these creators investigate tactile and material properties of the format, pointing to new directions in the creation of an experimental cinema that generates unique forms and modes of reception different from the usual cinematographic experience.

Programme curated by Oriol Sánchez.
