OPPOSITE FLOWAlthough 'method' in science and art is perceived as a necessary 'standardization' process, it is also a tool of domination. While this domination often manifests itself as an imposition by the 'first world' on the rest of the world, it can also take the form of the power-holder innocently inserting his or her 'tastes' and way of thinking between the lines. Any ideas, developments and works that do not conform to this hegemony are radicalized and marginalized, excluded from the 'accumulation' or, at best, neutralized by being deemed worthy of a boutique position. In short, anything that does not conform to the template and procedure defined as 'method' is labeled as 'inappropriate'. Eventually, there comes a stage where the method becomes the goal and the content becomes irrelevant.

Yet the fetishization of method - above and beyond everything else - is the greatest injustice that can be done to creativity. Because creativity often (or sometimes) requires an unregulated and uncontrolled production process. The juxtaposition of 'things' without any demarcation, the clashing of forms and contents, the fusion of 'irrelevancies' and the suspension of formal logic, i.e. common sense, is much more in keeping with the nature of the open system of 'life'. In a methodless stance, semantic and aesthetic possibilities are not overlooked, improvization is not missed, the 'aim' meets the 'result' without deviating from its path and without lingering too long.
