    By on

Time, structure, patterns. These are some of the principles that guide the 9th edition of (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico that, under the title Lux Algebra, invoke the alchemical film elements that manipulate time and its structures, in order to define a program that complete the trilogy dedicated to film creation the Mostra has been developing in these past editions, from the light with The New Impressionists (2016) to the material that supports the images with Objects and Appearances (2017), on the concepts of appropriation of found footage.

Silent Territory: 24th Edition Casablanca International Video Art Festival Morocco

Video art can be apprehended as a territory in constant redefinition. The international selection of the FIAV 2018 "Silent Territory" questions the boundary (the path that borders between two borders), the zone, the interval, the boundary, the route, the dam, the end, the point of separation and the lines demarcation between multicultural societies. The videos of the selection pose several questions: but what is a territory? Is it unlimited like the horizon?

  • DYSPLA International Moving Image Festival

    By on

DYSPLA International Moving Image Festival is the world’s first festival dedicated to screening the visual innovation of dyslexic and neurodiverse story makers, showcasing a collection of moving images dedicated to exploring dyslexic narratives.

Dyslexic and Neurodivergent storymakers have a strong heritage in narrative and non linear art history. Agatha Christie, Pablo Picasso, WB Yeats, Stan Brakhage, Steve Mcqueen, Quentin Tarantino, and Steven Spielberg, are just a few storymakers on an endless list, that share dyslexia as their commonality, and as their genius.

The UK’s education system has belittled and undervalued the neurodivergent community for centuries. Cuts to education in the arts, craft and music, lead by the worship of academia and the mythical neurotypical are destroying our young storymakers.
