Microscope is very pleased to present Break The Sky, the first solo exhibition at the gallery by Jeanne Liotta, whose works we have previously shown in “Triple Blind” (2013), “Slide Slide Slide” (2014), and “Dreamlands: Expanded” (2016-17), a series of expanded cinema events presented in collaboration with the Whitney Museum of American Art as part of the exhibition “Dreamlands: Immersive Cinema & Art 1905-2016”.

Barbara Hammer: Evidentiary Bodies is a multifaceted exhibition-project that delves into the life’s work and resonating impact of lesbian feminist artist and filmmaker Barbara Hammer. Revolving around a retrospective at Leslie Lohman Museum for Gay & Lesbian Art, Evidentiary Bodies as a project encompasses exhibitions, a publication, performances, readings, and an extensive film program at various locations across New York City.

Retrospective of works by Dmitri Frolov (18+). Frolov is one of the leaders of russian film vanguard in postperestroika age. He makes aesthetic experiments connecting with a return to dumb cinema on new level of movie language.
