Programación de la 10ª (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico

El (S8) Mostra Internacional de Cinema Periférico presenta hoy la programación de su décima edición, que se desarrollará desde el 31 de mayo hasta el 9 de junio en A Coruña. La imagen escogida para celebrar estos diez años tiene como protagonistas a cuatro elementos vistos con rayos X inspirados en las primeras radiografías llevadas a cabo por Josef Maria Eder en 1896 para ver qué había dentro de ellos.

Fracto Experimental Film Encounter 2019

Between May 23rd and May 26th the third edition of the Experimental Film Encounter Fracto is taking place at Kunsthaus ACUD in Berlin-Mitte. The main programme gathers more than 70 film and video works by artists and filmmakers selected from an international open call that has received more than 800 submissions. The selection will be presented in a series of curated programmes. Some of the filmmakers will be present to talk about their work.

65th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen

The 65th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen will open on 1 May 2019 at 7.30 p.m. in the Lichtburg Filmpalast in Oberhausen with around 400 international guests from politics, culture and film. Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen, Minister for Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia, Daniel Schranz, Lord Mayor of the City of Oberhausen, and Lars Henrik Gass, Director of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, will speak at the opening.

Atrabilious Experimental Filmfest (5th ed.) will take place again at Filmhuis Cavia, Amsterdam!

Atrabilious has in a short time, managed to establish as an vanguard of new and established experimental filmmakers and video artists. Atrabilious is a showcase festival with more than 21 artist and 70 films over an duration of two days. For the 5th edition, the focus will be ‘living in time in turmoil’, the program is curated by artist Ronald Bijleveld.

La edición de este año de Punto de Vista, Festival de Cine Documental de Navarra (11 a 16 de marzo, Pamplona) presenta en su nueva edición un programa con fuerte presencia de películas de vanguardia. Uno de los principales protagonistas de esta edición será el recientemente desaparecido Jonathan Schwartz, con una retrospectiva dedicada a su obra así como la publicación del libro 'To light, to love, to time: Jonathan Schwartz'.
