Carles Santos Ventura (b.Vinaroz, July 1, 1940) is a pianist, composer and multifaceted artist. He began to study music since very little (he player piano at the age of 5). He graduated at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu de Barcelona, continuing his studies in Paris and Switzerland. He beegan his professional career as a pianist in 1961, playin gpieces by Bartók, Schönberg and Webern. In 1968 he moved to the US, where he met avant-garde musicians such as John Cage.

Jeff Scher is an American filmmaker, animator and painter, based in New York. He was born Jeffery Noyes Scher, on December 24, 1954. Scher graduated from Bard College in 1976. He is married to Bonnie Siegler and they currently live in Brooklyn with their two children.

Hannes Schüpbach is a Swiss filmmaker and painter, born in Winterthur, Switzerland in 1965.

Schüpbach studied visual art at the academies of art and design in Zurich (Zurich University of the Arts, ZHdK) and in Basel (Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst) from 1988 to 1991. In 1992 he dedicated six months to cinema and performance studies at New York University. During his education two figures were very important for their influence on the artist's cinematic language: Werner von Mutzenbecher and André Lehmann. They were his professors and both engaged in experimental film movement in Basel in the 1970s and 1980s.

Harry Everett Smith (29 May 1923, Portland, Oregon – 27 November 1991, New York City) was an American archivist, ethnomusicologist, student of anthropology, record collector, experimental filmmaker, artist, bohemian and mystic. Smith is a well-known figure in several fields. People who know him as a filmmaker often do not know of his 1952 Anthology of American Folk Music, while folk music enthusiasts often do not know he was 'the greatest living magician' according to Kenneth Anger.
