The 16th edition of Archivio Aperto is dedicated to the future of memory: which forms narrate the past, redefine it, or even forget it? What images to remember together, to perform the collective act of (re)creating the world? The Future is Memory.
The annual seven-day event returns November 13 – 19, 2023; there are no entry fees, and artists worldwide are invited to submit through September 22, 2023.

The International Videoart Festival CUVO launches a new open call for the next edition of the festival called "Alternative Screens" intended for video artists all around the globe. This year we want to focus on the idea of alternative as it was analyzed by cultural theorist Mark Fisher.
We'll select eight of the most innovative videoart pieces that will shape the travelling exhibition of the festival in Spain along 2024.
Night Watch is an outdoor film trail taking place in September 2023, with film & video works projected onto buildings around the town of Shoreham, UK. Films will be curated from work submitted to us. Submissions will be accepted by LGBTQIA+ artists and filmmakers from the UK and internationally.
The fourteenth edition of Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival, the UK’s festival of experimental film and the flagship event of Alchemy Film & Arts, will take place 2 – 5 May 2024 in Hawick, Scotland.

Kinoskop is a indie / niche festival, based in Belgrade, dedicated to the exploratory tendencies and experimental ways of working with celluloid in a digital era, and a showcase of imaginative works of cinema which trigger strong audio-visual stimuli and puzzling afterthoughts, rooted in the spirit of experimental, surrealist and underground cinema.
For our October screening we are inviting experimental documentary submissions on the theme of MULTIPLICITY
Most often used to mean a large number of things ‘multiplicity’ can refer to a variety of things- or the variety in things. We are looking for experimental documentary films that embrace multiplicity and ideas around profusion, assortment and repetition.
SoundImageCulture (SIC) 2024 Open Call. SIC is a year-long program that supports filmmakers and artists in the development of their cinematic or audiovisual projects. The lab was created by filmmakers for filmmakers and audiovisual artists to break the solitude of the creative process and expand horizons through personalized coaching, bi-monthly collective sessions with renowned (international) artists and filmmakers, masterclasses, seminars, and film screenings.
