Pablo Marín

Pablo Marín was born in 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In addition to teaching (Universidad del Cine, Buenos Aires; Centro de Investigación y Enseñanza en Cine y Video (CYEVIC), Buenos Aires) and writing on film (La región central, Kilómetro 111), he is a film and video curator and filmmaker. He also curated the DVD Dialéctica en suspenso: Argentine Experimental Film and Video, published by Antennae Collection.

His films have been premiered at several festivals (International Experimental Cinema Exposition (TIE), Denver), and shown at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, London Film Festival, Austrian Film Museum, Anthology Film Archives (New York City), Starting from Scratch (Netherlands), Millennium Film Workshop (New York City), Pleasure Dome (Canada), Malba (Argentina), Avanto Festival (Finland), (England), Pacific Film Archive (Berkeley), among others. In 2009 he was invited as a visiting artist at the Contemporary Art Foundation (Fundación de Arte Contemporáneo (FAC)) in Montevideo, Uruguay, and as a filmmaker and lecturer at the exhibit Displacement: Cinema out of site at the Gallery of Contemporary Art, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
