Ann Arbor Film Festival, the oldest festival dedicated to experimental film & video, returns next week in its 52nd edition, with a programme of over 200 films, videos and live performances. During the week-long festival (March 25th - 30th), its attendants will be able to enjoy a complete retrospective of the work of documentarian Thom Andersen, and partial retrospectives of Penelope Spheeris and Detroit super-8 filmmaker Joseph Bernard. The festival will also feature new works by Sabine Gruffat, Malena Szlam, Michael Robinson, Rebecca Meyers, Shambhavi Kaul, Ben Russell, Mónica Savirón, Mark Toscano, Robert Todd and Sílvia das Fadas among many others.

Other highlights from this edition include the screening of a newly restored print of James Benning's Chicago Loop (1976), the previously unreeleased film Little girl (1966) by Bruce Baillie, and an exhibition dedicated to Phil Niblock's magnum opus The movement of people working.
