Bill Psarras

Bill Psarras (Dr., 1985) is an artist, adjunct lecturer at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of Ionian University and currently a Post-Doctoral researcher on Arts and GeoHumanities. He has a Ph.D in Arts and Computational Technology from Goldsmiths University of London with further MA and BA studies in digital arts (University of the Arts London and Ionian University). His art practice includes site-specific audiovisual installations, walking performances, video art, poetry and music composition, exploring the poetics and politics of urban experience and flâneur. He has exhibited in more than 60 international exhibitions and festivals (Onassis Foundation, Benaki Museum, UK Fringe Arts Bath, Something Human UK, Washington Experimental) and cultural institutions (RA Summer Exhibition 2010, Storefront for Art and Architecture). His research can be found on the intersections of contemporary art, urban studies and media arts; published in academic journals and conference proceedings as well as in Centre of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki. On 2017, he will publish his first poetry collection in Greek entitled ‘Tundra’ (iWrite Publications).
